We engaged Rezt+Relax ID after watching YouTube clips of their works. We are pleased with both IDs Shawn and Annie for being attentive and  accommodative during the renovation process.  Family members with differing requests were able to come  to an agreement after their given suggestions which made the renovation process smooth to meeting our tight timeline. (Renovation period straddled across Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year.) Both IDs had been prompt in responding to our queries even after office hours. FIVE (5) Years!!! That’s how long since our house renovation was completed by the Rezt&Relax interior team led by Shawn & Jeff. We bought an old place and did extensive remodeling, including changing electrical wiring. At that time, we were just happy that the project was completed in the promised timeline of 10 weeks. We were lucky, since COVID lockdown began just afterwards! I had consulted Shawn & Jeff even before I had made a final decision to buy the property which helped me understand the true extent of renovation required. During the design phase both were very active in understanding our requirements and presenting suitable options. When I compared quotes from other vendors, R&R quote was certainly pricier, but I still went ahead with them as somewhere during our discussions, I felt Shawn and Jeff had made a good effort in understanding our expectations. I was also reminded of lifetime warranty for their work, frankly I did not value much at that time, but after 5 years I certainly feel that it is the most valuable offering. Our renovation still looks like new, thanks to their afterworks service. R&R stuck to using high quality material for both civil and woodworks and it shows even after so many years. After all this time, I have now come to realize that while we give a “contract” to an ID firm, it is the relationship that the ID develops with you that matters most and eventually shows in the work. On that front, Shawn & Jeff have nourished the relationship over the years and I am happy that they managed our project. We had great experience working with Nicole! Nicole understood our need as parent with young children, provided us good ideas & solutions. The renovation schedule were on track & we managed to move in to our new nest per plan! Nicole was really following up closely on each progress & provided periodic update. The Good Designer: We had the pleasure of working with Designer, Lyn. After considering a few interior designers, we chose Lyn due to her extensive years of experience and her exceptional design sense. Her forte in Modern Lux theme was what we wanted. Before we even signed the contract, she provided us a schedule, giving us a clear idea of the project’s timeline. Her efforts to go the extra mile is also commendable e.g. dealing with MCST, personally taking us to the factory to select the exact slab of stone we wanted for our countertops, letting us know about the numerous options we could choose from. It can be difficult managing various contractors at once but she manages it smoothly and always makes sure both us and the contractors are well-informed. There were a couple of hiccups related to measurements/dimensions but these were swiftly and smoothly rectified. This is something I truly appreciate. It’s clear that Lyn takes full responsibility for the project’s success and works tirelessly to ensure everything is perfect. Carpentry: The carpentry work in particular was fantastic. Carpenters engaged were responsible and everything from the cabinetry to the built-ins were crafted with precision and care. Electrician: Impressed with the quality of work. From planning of lights to actual installation down to the small details like plastering the area around switches nicely and connecting of data points. Paint works: Once again commendable. Sanded down the whole house before painting to ensure walls are smooth. Made sure every nook and cranny we nitpicked were taken care of. Even wiped down the place after painting. The limewash paint (different contractor), however, was a bit disappointing as the effect wasn’t obvious at all. Perhaps it was our own colour choice. Misc: Other works like plastering, plumbing and hacking were pretty standard and smooth. The Bad Parquet: The first contractor engaged to do our parquet floor varnishing was absolutely atrocious, both in terms of their quality of work (— the "polished" parquet was in a worse state than before. Rougher, debris and hair strand stuck on the lacquer, sides and corners were not handled properly) and their work ethic — (worker's attitude, boss not keeping to his word regarding rectification works, taking advantage of our ignorance and giving dishonest explanations to cover their mistakes.) They were swapped out eventually and the second contractors sent in were good. Nonetheless, it was a bottleneck which caused a significant delay in the completion of the project. Price: On the steeper side but you get what you pay for. Overall/TLDR: There was a one-month delay but we are extremely satisfied with the final result.

They managed to finish renovation within the requested timing as well. The service after the completion is also good. They promptly replied and came back and finished the repairing. We chose Rezt & Relax to renovate our new home three years ago, based on glowing feedback from a friend and the company’s strong reputation. Upon my friend’s recommendation, we specifically requested Angelyn as our interior designer, with Jeff as the project manager. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the results. The renovation was completed on time and perfectly aligned with the design we had envisioned. What sets Rezt & Relax apart is their outstanding customer service, which didn’t end when the project was finished. Angelyn and Jeff stayed connected with us through a WhatsApp group, where they continued to offer valuable household repair advice. Recently, we noticed that our granite countertop had subsided slightly due to its weight. Despite it being three years since the renovation, we reached out to Angelyn and Jeff for advice. They promptly arranged for their carpenter and countertop supplier to address the issue, and it was resolved within a couple of weeks. The entire experience—from the thoughtful design process to the timely renovation and ongoing support—has been nothing short of exceptional. I highly recommend Rezt & Relax for their professionalism, quality craftsmanship, and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
